Borås Photo Club was founded in 1939 and today it consists of about 100 amateur photographers, more or less experienced and at different ages. The main purpose of the club is to stimulate the interest for photography as an exciting hobby. We meet at our club room almost once a week to listen to invited photographers (professionals and amateurs), discuss our own pictures or simply have a cup of coffee. Different photographic styles are represented among the members; nature, documentary, portraits, art photography etc. Members who like to present their pictures in photo contests have lots of opportunities, within the club and at regional or national level. We also have a well equipped dark room for the members to use. As a way to finance our activities, we produce a popular calender with historical photos of our hometown.
